CLP was established in 2006 to provide synergy between “art” and “business.” We strive to preserve “art” in the midst of a money-driven, marketing centric industry.
“ART” DOES NOT HAVE TO DIE IN ORDER TO MAKE MONEY!
Our industry is producing too many recycled ideas. We have been inundated by a sea of formulaic pieces for which accountants have calculated an acceptable ROI (Return On Investment) prior to anyone giving these projects the “green light.” We, as an industry, must eagerly support those who attempt to go where no filmmaker, or producer of media using a video format, has gone before.
This call to arms, sort of speak, comes as a New Frontier is upon us. Emergent media has been reshaping the distribution methods of broadcast and narrowcast programming throughout the World. Can we call ourselves "filmmakers" if we use digital video to achieve certain economies of savings during production? Must we shoot on expensive film and put it in the "can" only to digitize it for distribution methods such as internet and cellular phone? Maintaining an open mind and taking chances are the only ways we will successfully cultivate the yet to be discovered gems that are within our grasp. We must remain filmmakers whether we use tape or film. And, we must continue to capture the beauty of life and put it in the "can" no matter the shape of the container.

We do not advocate that artists should take a vow of poverty. We want this industry to continue to be one in which those who dedicate themselves to their craft make a good living and that those who invest in this art form see reward; however, we want to remind you that once we produce something it is "captured for life." It stands as a representation of our abilities. We must strive for greatness.
Therefore, Capture Life Productions steps forward into the future embracing traditional “independent filmmaker” philosophies coupled with a desire to generate revenues by producing quality programming that is creative and unique.
